Barbican Theatre, European tour into the Palace des Papes for the Avignon Festival and into the Barbican at the end of 2012. Director: Simon McBurney

Opened in Plymouth 2011, toured to Luxembourg. 2012 tour to London’s Barbican, Madrid, Vienna, Recklinhausen, Amsterdam, Barcelona and headlined the Avignon Festival in the Palace des Papes before a second run at the Barbican Theatre.

Opening Ceremony, London 2012 Olympic Games. Director: Danny Boyle

Gareth was asked by director Danny Boyle to design the sound effects for the London 2012 Opening Ceremony.

A range of sound effects were created to accompany the video sequences, as well as for the various events that happened in the stadium. 

Leading a team consisting of sound designers Rich Walsh, Pete Malkin and foley artist Ruth Sullivan, our work was heard by 80,000 in the stadium, broadcast to 27 million UK viewers and an estimated 900 million globally.
